    Basically,

I need a portfolio for the design course I wanna do at Uni.

    It should consist of

Wallpapers, 3D Work (MODELLING STUFF), Cutting, Colouring and also Manipulation of images.

You can guess which "part" I already have completed ;)

    Basically, I need to know:

3D Work - Whut program shall I use? Maya? Rhino? I need to be able to design a basic human body or car.
Colouring - As in getting a sketched pic and colouring it from they're?
    Wallpapers - I know
Manip of Images - I know
    Cutting - No Comment...

It'd be helpful if yah'z could tell me a few tutorials on how to learn the basics of 3D Modelling.

Thanks in advance. (Yes I've checked CGTalk but its really confusing =|)

    - Tam.

For coloring, you could definately use Photoshop. For 3D work, I would say 3DS Max. I haven't used it, but I've seen some incredible things made with it.

I personally use lightwave but i think you should go with 3dsmax as is abit more userfriendly.

For the coloring I recommend photoshop and I can show you the basics of that (if you want). For 3D I recommend lightwave but 3DS Max is a little bit more friendly, however they both revolve around the same platform.

if you get the cinema4d studio bundle, it comes with c4d for modeling and bodypaint3d to make the skin look 100% realistic. It also allows you to create extremely realistic hair.

^ Go there and on the left hand side you can see some examples of texturing applied to your c4d models using bodypaint3d ;)
