    you can use winRar to password protect your files/archives

    yah right click the file or soething and set a password, thats what i do

    I am trying to make a folder password protected on a site, I don't my psds(4 gb) have to be re-uploaded and then passwordprotected by winrar or w/e.

    yeah winrar has the password thingy.

    If you are trying to protect a folder on your host, you need to go to index manager and turn off indexes for that folder.

    This is of course if you are using cpanel. The password protected directory should also be on the main page. ;)

    the WinRAR password protection can be overcomed easily, i forgot the name of the one i used to use but i got it at download.com its offcial shareware and no BS
