Help Please C D Drive Help!

I cant get my E drive (Burner 1) Open!
I NEED to open ASAP cuz I need to put a vid on it for a class!

All you have to do is open your case, make sure the molex (power cable) did not come lose, if so, plug it back in, if it is plugged in, use another one. Also, if you do this and it doesn't open because of a motor problem you can get a paperclip and you can use the little button in the front of the drive to manually open it. It isn't too hard. Just insert the paperclip into the little hole and press firmly. Then it should pop right out.

 

You still need help with this? And yet again the guy above me always has the creds. Also its possible (though highly unlikely) you somehow either jammed the motor or made it stop functioning.

 

Yes, I had that in mind as well. Pushing it too hard. THat always sucks. Once you pop it out though, it normally fixes it. If not, you stripped the gears... they are plastic you know. As well as the motor could be just burnt out... in that case, it would still read/write. So, you can manually open it like I mentioned above. Erm.. yeah.
