I downloaded sumfin and it gave me a toolbar on net with loads of rubbish on. I removed the stuff in add n remove progs. I used norton to remove spyware n adware it added. but after that this happens on most websites wenever I google for things, restricts me for sum reason. b4 I deleted the stuff I also had this big adult friend finder box at the bottom of every web page I went on, even google but that problems gone now after deleting the stuff but this problem is still hapenin. any help plz?
Yes I reccomend Downloading Spybot Search and Destroy, Ewido, and AVG anti Virus (probably will detect a lot more than nortan), also you should probably scan in safe mode (at boot screen keep tapping f8 until a menu comes up and select safe mode. and for further security purposes i reccomend you do not use IE try opera opera.com or mozilla firefox getfirefox.com they are much more secure than Internet explorer. -good luck
IE is alright in my opinion but opera is definitely the safest. Mozilla can be safe with a couple of extensions (no script, ad-block etc...) but opera all the way.
Norton has failed us again >.< Post a HiJackThis Log so some of the techy dudes can see what stuff can be removed =) And if that doesn't help download what the guys/girls up there said c(= Good luck P.S. IE has failed us again...
You will need to look for anything relating to my web search, my web bar, my web anything. And delete it. There is also going to be additions to the registry that will need to be removed. **if you dont know anything about the registry, do not attempt without help**
