Well, I've finally got enough money to get a new monitor. I've decided I want a 19" one, but I don't know what make or model to get (I don't have much experience with monitors). I would appreciate if you could give me some advice, but please only a monitor from either here or here please (they ship to the UK and have decent prices). All advice is appreciated :D.

    ok.

with 17" and above lcd/tft monitors, you cant find many above 8ms these days, so no worry on ms.

Contrast ratio (800:1, 500:1), the higher the first number, the more crisp and brightness you will get. I have 500:1 atm on my monitor, and its fine.

if you can look on the back, DVI > VGA.

A unremovable video cord shows bad manufacturing, that they have their own special way to get prices lower. also, if the cord ever gets chewed through by your cat, you cannot replace it, like you can on a removable one.

that's about all I look for..
