The titel says it all. Whene I choose any color whit vrush/paint bucket tools e.g simpel red it turn into gray and I can't change it. What should I do?

Sometimes people make gradient maps, they would have to make a new layer or select a different layer

^ He wasn't speaking about Gradient maps if you were suggesting something related to his problem.

It's not a bug, it's a key combination or something that you'll press every now and again and set it, that or when you made a new document it was already set to "Grayscale".

Happened to me quite a few times.

You can't erase on adjustment layers, they've never worked like that.

Assuming you've got say a gradient map, on the gradient map layer you click the white box (next to "Layer 1" or w/e) and then you use a black brush as an eraser. White brings it back, black erases, the rubber will do nothing.

Yeah thats what I'm doing now using the black brush as an eraser, though i could have sworn i used to be able to erase adjustment layers. Whatever insanity kills =)

It's not only on gradient maps, it applies to every adjustment layer. Photofilters etc.
