Mac's have been considered in the industry to be the best in graphics, video, and music editing. In the PC world the only competitor that I can think of are AVID systems to edit video & do graphics. Give me a Quad G5 any day to do that stuff.

other than the fact that all new apps are being shifted away for the PPC architecture you would be correct.

macs own they have always been the first in computering, expect they have always been expensive.

they were the first to come out with 16bits
they were the first to have a GUI interface
they were the first to allow for watching/playing graphics
    ect.ect.ect.ect.

ps macs always do not use cheap chips to

until you try to get the drivers to work properly

unless you painstakingly choose every part for compatibility.

apple discontinued the use of G5s in newer models

they're going all x86 now, anything with a G5 is just left over from last year.

they're only using Xeons and Core 2 duos.

see how that link you gave us only has x86 parts?

and this has been out for a while to be honest.

is it worth ti though? don you stand to make money from it? if so, then it might be. If not then probably not. You can do everything with a single 3.0GHz Xeon that you can with two, simple as that(in terms of general use, multiuthreaded apps are diferent)

How is that new? I'm pretty sure it's been like that for a while.
Graphics designers tend to still use macs, and a lot of them prefer macpros over iMacs from what I've heard.
