I don't think Snape is bad at all. I think Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him, remember when hagrid told harry about the arguement between them, and dumbledore persuaded him to do something?. It was Snape's job to assist Malfoy in anyway possible or he would have been killed. In this case it was killing Dumbledore. If Snape didn't kill Dumbledore, then he would have been killed by other Death Eaters. If Snape didn't kill Dumby both he and Dumbledore would die whereas if he did, only Dumbledore would die. Dumbledore isn't the type to plead for his life. "There are things much worse then death" he quoted. I think he was pleading Snape to kill him and save himself. The hatred in Snapes face was from having to kill him.If Snape killed Dumbledore he would have saved his life. If Snape didn't kill Dumbledore he would have died (unbreakable vow) and the other Death Eaters would have killed Dumbledore anyways, so that would have been one extra life wasted.
