Ok i just installed windows and instead of 50 000 MB i made a partition of 30 000 MB, so i have 40 Gigs of unused space. My question is how do i use this unused hd space to make my C bigger and add a another partition?

^^Agreed. I am running 3 in my machine. 1 for OS, 1 for data and apps, the other for backups. Never lose data inless I lose 2 drives, can happen, but unlikely.

LambofJohn616, stop spamming on these boards. EDIT your posts...

Anyway, you can use partitionmagic, or control pannel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management, pretty straight forward.

Just remember to backup all your data when you do this. It should not harm it, but there's always that chance.

Yes, I had this very same problem. My HDD is 250megs in total and C: was partitioned as 130GB. THis solution works great. When you get onto the Disk Management Screen, you will see 'unallocated space' you simply right click that and click 'allocat space' or something.
Good lunk if you havent alrady sorted it out! ;)
