Alright, my mom bought a eMachines [big mistake, they suckkkk] and it died, but before we trashed it, it had a 50 gig or so HD. So I snatched it. Annnnd now I can't figure out how to put it in, well as a slave drive I'm guessing? [In other words, not the one I boot with.]

If it helps any, I have a Dell Dimension 3000.

    Thanks. :)

FYI, Dell has a hardware failure rate of about fourfold of emachines. My step father's Dell failed within the three weeks, and he used it only very lightly. atleast according to the last issue of PC magazine.

to install a hardrive in lay mans terms, pop open case, insert drive into drive cage, screw it in, attach eIDE ribbon, attach molex power connector, DONE.
