I played Halo2 and OMG I was soooooooooooooooo dissapointed! You want a multiplayer SHOOTING game play Unreal Tournament 2004, smoother, faster and more fun gameplay... UT2k4 requires REAL skill... I was bashing a bunch of buttons and came close to second place... Halo 2 does have a decent 1 player mode though

It's weird, but it's like CS. There is nothing particularly special about CS except it did something new. Halo one when it first came out was different then all the others, and it just kicked major ass. Go buy Halo 2, Multiplayer is better with the added vehicles :D

It you REALLY want fun fun fun multiplayer of any genre go with the PC... best shooters, best mmorpgs, best action games for multiplayer really...

I think, that the main reason Halo got sooo hyped was 1)XBox "target game" and 2)A decent non-pc-videogame-console-shooting-game... since those all suck anywayz

    Yeah. HL is preety good.
For online play Halo probaly wins, just because it's got the biggest community. For a MMORPG gotta go for WoW

i kinda like this game. i love the fast paced gameplay on multiplayer, but the online community for halo2 is a bit questionable. too many 12 year old kids calling you a fag, but i guess you get that in almost all online games.

I'm not saying it's a bad game... it's probably the best out there on a non-pc system... but I sure as hell was dissapointed... I was expecting something... BIG from all that insane hype... and actually ended up liking UT2K4... so imagine my dissapointment... anywayz I didn't play it long enough to see to much swearing going on... there was this ONE really annoying person... but you obviously know more than I do

I bought an XBox years ago just to play Halo icon_biggrin.gif. I really liked the AI on the enemies.

Grunts- half the time they stood in packs and if you threw a grenade or killed a few, the rest would run in fear as they screamed with their funny, high pitched voices. haha. "GRENAAAADE!"

Elites- -------s on Legendary if they are in a pack. Really good AI. Toss a nade and they roll jump out of the way. They even run behind cover to refill their shields. Annoying but good AI at least. And in close range they melee you. Even their voices were neat. The different types of Elite were pretty cool to deal with. Cloaked ones were really good and the Golden ones were a real pain with their swords and tons of armour.

The Flood- The medium sized dudes were pretty funny looking as they dragged their legs while they came at you. No wonder they usually packed a weapon icon_surprised.gif The larger forms were great when they leaped for you with melee attacks.

Vehicles- Now these were fun. Having a second played rid on the top of the tank wheels was pwnage. I can't find another console game back then that had such a cool feature. Loved how your viewpoint moved all over when the vehicle went over hills and bumps. awesome.

Weapons- Great approach to do a 2 weapon limit. It changed the way to conserve ammo and change weapons for more ammo rather then play it quake style "pick up everything and all the ammo and go in Rambo Style".
You can't win every level in Halo by playing Quake style. It doesn't work all the time. There are times when you can be sneaky to approach big targets and kill them in 1 blow. Or walk silently and toss a nade over a slanted wall into a pack of enemies, boom!

Physics- getting hit, vehicles going over terrain, explosives that made you fly away were very fun.

Sure, on EASY difficulty it's easy for noobs to get into it. Play the game on LEGENDARY on your OWN and (not coop) and tell me it's easy. I had a rough time beating a pack of Elites in a few levels. It's not that easy.
Cooperative mode was a snap since you get infinite lives respawning as 1 player remainds alive back and forth. But 1 player mode, you have to make it to a saved checkpoint without dying, some are easy and others are hard on Legendary difficulty.

Those stages when you had backup from a group of marines follow you and you all fight against enemy covenant was great!

graphics- Were great on a console! I love the cloaking effects.

music- soundtrack was just superb for Halo. I couldn't wait to get the soundtrack. It went very good with Halo.

Halo's a great game on XBox. Even if you hate it, it still stands as a top game to own on XBox.
