Hope that doesnt happen Read a huge article stating Halo 2 was rushed by bungie. They had to exclude several maps/weapons/features which they were going to put into the game but they didnt have time because they wanted it to be released just in time for the holidays. If bungie is going to make a 3rd Halo they better take their time and put as much as they can into it.
Have not heard any news from Microsoft or Bungie about Halo 3, guess they are in progress of doing something about it.
The closest thing to NEWS about Halo 3 is that Bill gates MENTIONED, that Halo 3 was going to be released around the PS3. While many took this as a release date, he later RETRACTED the statement, so anyone claiming they know ANYTHING about Halo 3 is lying.
I think they should just stop making Halo. They made it bad*ss already and usually knock-offs of the others arn't as good.
They should take there time with halo 3. I dont think an extra couple of months will change everyones opion on it. Even if they want it for the ps3 release they shouldnt rush it.
it probably wont be out till fall of 2006 now because thats when the release date for PS3 is and they are competing, Halo 3 is due for release on the same date as PS3
(Is a halo nerd) Actually, as of right now, Halo's makers, Bungie and obviously microsoft have publically announced that the Halo 3 project has been postponed and/or cancelled. Now.. There is a rumor that can be distinguished two ways.. Microsoft is working on a game called Forerunner..and if you know anything about halo you know the forerunners are the gods the Covenant worship. First Theory: Fore-runners is going to be a "pre-quel" to the Halo series..(I seriously doubt that) Second theory: Fore-runners is a codename for the people who aren't nerds like I, that don't know who or what the forerunners are/were and it's a codename for Halo 3, to mask the release.. I also don't belive in this. I doubt it'll be out by PS3, and quite frankly, it shouldn't be. Hehe, I'm fine with my Halo 2 on XBox Live
Some odd to reasonable rumors: I heard that Microsoft was going to give it to another company (EA) - Complete bogus considering they'd probably have nothing to do with EA and did you know what EA stands for? Not Electronic Arts... but it's actually Errors Abundant. New name for Halo 3 - What? Big, shiny, round thing 3? It won't come out - And leave another few hundred million behind? Ha! Original storyline (as in... not another ring) - That's a possibility for why it's taking so long. Make seperate games for the two storylines - ...Bungi may be cheap with some things but they're not cheap when it comes to that. The Multiplayer pack was not bogus. They might make several storylines including the Masterchief, a marine storyline (so that will be like a modern Battlefield 2), and two to three storylines for the different types of covenant - Entirely possible. Some new weapons, vehicles, and races that I've seen: Flamethrower - I haven't seen this but although it sounds cool, people have said that it sucked... Multiplayer Covenant Rocket Launcher (Fuel Rod Cannon) - It's really not that cool and if they wanted to, I think they would've done it with Halo 2. A helicopter/jet or a human flying thing - I kind of doubt it since you rarely see anything but the Pelicans in the storyline... if they did that they'd become like another regular combat game... Shadow Transport Multiplayer - Nope. Human Sniper Rifle - Finally!! A good idea!! Wait... dam! They already have it, idiot! Smoke Grenade - Sounds reasonable to me. EMP Grenade - Electro Magnetic Pulse by the way and that also makes a bit of sense. Gah, there were some others but I can't remember them. These rumors were not made by Bungies and they were said to be false by me and only me so this is no official information. I'll bet that just about none of this except the sniper rifle (lol) is going to be in the new game. This is just what these addicted people are thinking...
