Half-life 2 Mods: Best One(s)?

I just recently discovered (yes, you may laugh) the great fun of HL2 mods and I was wondering which ones are good? I love using the Gary Mod just for messing around, but which ones make good actual games and not just stimulators and stuff? Any ideas?

Like I said, I personally think the best one is Gary Mods cause of the pure randomness that comes with summoning anything from the HL2/CS:S roster.

ive heard that garys mod is fun. i dont have half life but i know people who play garrys mod and say that its fun
