Yes, so I've already had HL2 working on my PC before. I reformatted it last night, and installed HL2 again. The only thing is, when I try to run it; it just says it has to shut down. So it doesn't even get past the loading screen to take you to the Main Menu. Now, I've tried to think of what it could be. The first thing I thought would have been the version of Direct X that I have, but I believe I installed the latest version along with my video card drivers. If someone can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated. If I had some credits I'd even throw some of those at ya. Thanks. - Brian Irish.
Scratch that. I went through the files individually and installed one extra item. Now it's working like a charm.
