It depends on the web browser you are using, if you're using IE you won't see it as transparent, but for firefox and some other browsers, you'd see it as transparent.
It shows lightish blue on the forum? Or in your comp? Mine comes up light blue on my IE, but I think it's because I haven't updated it in a while. When I use Firefox, PNG files show up fine.
