Grunge Brushes

Alright, I got alot of grunge brushes (almost all the same) and when I try using the brush tool, it doesnt make what I would like to. Here what it looks like.

If I press once :

If I use it more then once on the same layer :

Am I using the correct tool? Do I need to brush on more then one layer to get a nice effect?

How big is the brush?

Its the brushes scattering, it makes a lot of them jst use a different brush set, those brushes don't look too good either >_<

Go to search and search for some grunge brushes

 

ya deffinently get some diiferent brushes

 

I have the size that they take automaticaly, which is around 300-450.

Ok so, I just found some brushes dont know if they are really good but I made a tuto with it (the brushes didnt amke the wanted result that it was supose to do (with the image in the tuto))
