or double click the locked background and change the color to any color, it won't make a difference. Then it becomes unlocked and just like any other layer.

 

Rofl, for the past 3 months or so ive been extracting renders :S, ty, saves so much time

 

cwd u have to make sure u delete the white bg layer so that only the pic layer is there then press delete and ull see the grid like matte. Then u save as png it will be transparent
