    Ive heard fable is a really bad game. Its short and the storyline is predictable. It dont look to bad but probably all of the games above are better than fable.

    Some people say otherwise, but I think Grandia II is probabaly one of the best RPG's I've ever played. It's discontinued, but you can get it off Ebay for like $20. That's what I did. Good game and super cheap.

    great story, great gameplay, and online mode is free.

    Not technically, a lot of the game can be completed with Henchmen or Heroes.

    Knights of the Old Republic (1 & 2), Oblivion, Morrowind, Jade Empire

    Pretty much the only good new ones that are out. Unless you count Warcraft 3 :P

    Most of the ones I like are already mentioned

    KOTOR 1 and 2

    Fable (Short but it's still fun, play Lost Chapters)

    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

    D2: LoD (Had me addicted for months, only I played online.)

    Final Fantasy Series

    Kingdom Hearts (If you have PS2)

    Gothic 3 (Didn't play it, but it looked good)

    how about neverwinternight 2? played baldursgate 2 and loved it so its should be good too
