    the 4400 has 2x1mb. The 4600 has only 2x512kb
You can OC the 4400 just as good as the 4600.

Here's my build. It cost me $2000 when I made it, so it should be around $1500 now. :)

    AMD Opteron 170 CPU

    ASUS A8R-MVP Motherboard

    G.Skill 2GB DDR500 RAM

    Sapphire X1800XT Video Card

    Seagate SATA150 250GB Hard Drive

    Antec P180 Case

    Enermax Liberty 500W PSU

    Scythe SCNJ-1000 Heatsink

THIS is the best you can find. Take my word for it...it is probably better than the computers of 95% of GameRenders members. If you want, send me a PM and I'll give you more information. This setup is geared towards gaming and overclocking, as illustrated by the CPU, RAM, and graphics card. The motherboard is fully Crossfire-compliant and is one of the best overclocking value motherboards on the market. The P180 and Liberty are an awesome case/PSU setup, and if you want, I can link you to reviews of all of the parts I mentioned. They all have received numerous Editors' Choice awards from top reviewers around the web.

Here's a few screens of what my machine is capable of. Enjoy!

wow nice build bona fida! its not the best but its up their, u did a rlly nice job overclocking the processor! hows the X1800 working for ya? did u OC that one too? overall it looks nice but that case isnt that nice.. it looks like it dont get good airflow and its not pretty :(

Yeah definitely not THE best, but it's probably the best you can get with $1500. The X1800 is also overclocked, to 700/1600. I used the BIOS flash released by Sapphire, that was supposed to be for the X1800XT Platinum Edition. It worked perfectly and the card works like a dream.

If you really think the P180 has bad airflow, you must be kidding me. It has capacity for 4 120mm fans (3 included). One is in the back, one is on top, and one is in the PSU/HDD area. Quite possibly one of the best cases ever built. And as far as not being pretty...it's elegant and minimalistic. If you go for lights and all that...your choice. :)

Here are some reviews of the P180:

    http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1833214,00.asp

The editor-in-chief of Silent PC Review contributed a lot to the designing of the case, so it's extremely silent and extremely effective.
