It is unreversable because you think it is.

If you don't dedicate yourself to making it better, indeed, it is impossible.

And you say that you can't change the world.

    You are a common individual.

The world if made by people like you.

If you can't change it, who can?

If everyone dedicates to a cause,
    WE make a change.

We did cause it, didn't we? Why can't we reverse it?

Answer: It takes 10 minutes each day and we are lazy.

Just separate the trash, etc. It's too obvious and we all know what we have to do.

Agreed man. I was going to make the same resonse.

It's that kind of metality that keeps anything from happening.

If EVERYBODY thinks "I'm just one person, I can't really make a difference" than NOBODY will make a difference. If EVERYBODY thinks "Well, maybe if I do my part here and there by picking up some trash, not littering, etc." than EVERYBODY will do at least something. And changes will almost GAURUNTEED occur.

It's all about peoples mentality of the subject when you think about it.

P.S. Did I spell "Gaurunteed" right? I always misspell that one word. :P

I watched An Inconvenient Truth, and it talks about how even though the sun fluctuates in heat, in the last 150 years or something, the temperature has gone much, much higher than what normal cycles do. And, in the last 150 yeras, we have gone through the Industrial Revolution...

    Coincidence? I think not.

    Yep.
Peoples' mentality are the cause of many problems.

^the littering thing isn't really about global warming.

it's the fact that so much of the stuff we throw out (styrofoam, plastics, etc) aren't biodegradable. they just sit around on earth forever and never start rotting.

plus some people say animals choke on them and stuff. I've never really witnessed it happen. >.>

    EDIT-
On the flooding thing, I'm sure you were kidding but here's another interesting thought:
If every inch of ice at both poles melted tomorrow, how much do you reckon the global water level would rise?
Most people would say 'lots,' but this is another physics problem. In all actuality, the water level of the oceans wouldn't rise at all. This is because so much water is being dispersed by keeping the ice buoyant that the melting of the ice would only compensate for the mass of water dispersed to begin with. Don't really know if that made sense, but if you have a hard time believing it, try this: fill a cup with some ice, then to the very top edge with water. Let all the ice melt and see if the water overflows. Laws of physics tell us it won't rise at all.

I know, the problem at the poles isn't flooding, it's that polar bears are running out of room to live on. It's just an interesting thought...

I think he means polution in general. But anyway, even if it doesn't cause global warming, is it okay for us to throw stuff away?
I mean, example : Boy at school (standing about 5 meters away from a rubbishbin) eats a snack. He throws the paper onto the ground. I walk up to him and say "why did you do that? theres a bin right next to you". He replies "so what , it doesn't heart anyone and the cleaners have got some work now"
I mean, wtf? That bit of plastic could kill an animal and if that isn't reason enough anyway.. what if everyone would think like him, we'd be one big dump.

Literring affects the environment. That is what I was talking about in that one post. It wasn't really based on Global Warming there.

But it could be the same deal with transportation.. if people decided to walk to some places instead of driving...maybe if it was a short distance and a safe walk, instead of driving 20 feet to a house that is just up the street when they even have side walks you can walk on for safety...

    You know what I mean?

I probably should've have use the example above instead of littering in my post a few posts ago....
