There's a good reason Photoshop costs the large amount it does. There's also a good reason GIMP is free.

    No more said.

*innocently* I have no problem with pirated software (jk)

    Gimp:

    Free ripoff of photoshop

    Photoshop:

Expensive ripoff of everything, improved and resold.

And yes, you can excel with gimp but... it's kind of like putting in 5,000 hours to be a very good person in Gimp. Where you could've put in 2,000 hours. gotten to the same skill level in photoshop and spent the other 3,000 hours making money. By the time you've used up those 3,000 hours making money. Golly gee, you're even better!!! and photoshop is officially paid for. B) :bunny:

Gimp is a great free alternative for those who cant afford adobe products or who dont like, for whatever reasons to use pirated software.

I'm not a ----- user of any of Adobe 's products, so if it was a case of paying for a full version of photoshop or using gimp I would probably use gimp as I couldn't justify outlaying so much money for a piece of software that I dont use that often.
