I just upgraded mine to a Radeon HD 4350, which may not be great, but was relatively cheap and a huge step up from my old one. =D So, how about you? I don't know much about computer hardware, so I'll have to google anything you type in this thread, lawl.

Well as for me, I own a nVidia GeForce 8800 GT - 512MB GDDR3 Graphics card and it does fairly good compared to my old one which was the 8800 GS - 512MB GDDR2 128-bit.

But I'm now planning to go for the 8800 Ultra as I think it would be great to play some new games on.

    9500 GT at the moment.
When I've got a bit of money to spare, upgrading to a 9800 GT

LOL GP, you're a good designer and I don't expect you to joke like that.

Oh okay, well wouldn't you rather buy an XBox 360/Playstation 3 than buying an expensive graphics card for PC games?

    4350?

    as in 4 - THREE -50?????????

    that's a piece of garbage.

    4770, or 4850 or GTFO

    a $70 graphics card walks circles around a $400 PS3

the 8800 ultra uses more power than a 4770, costs more, and has less overclocking potential
on top of that it's slower at stock.

If you read my post, xlink, which it doesn't surprise me you didn't. My old card is horrible. I couldn't even get 100FPS is CS. It's a decent card, it was 70 bucks.

    I read it.

    the 4300s just suck.

there's a reason why they sell for $25 for one... and keep in mind that it probably has around $10 worth of memory and $10 worth of circuit board and $3 packaging on it...
you're dealing with a graphics card with a $2 GPU on it.

    basically a pile of...
a $70 9600GSO is probably around 5 times as powerful.
same for the 4600, which has 360 stream processors instead of 80

Which one do you recommend Xlink for new generation games, example the Need for Speed Undercover.
