You can't compare an FPS to a TPS tbh.
Don't like GoW nor CoD but I prefer GoW.

Also, COD5 major disappointment. This topic should be more of GOW2 VS. COD4. Now that's a tough decision. As for the actual topic though. GOW2 ftw.

First things first, let's not give World at War the dignity of Call of Duty 5 as it's not Call of Duty 5. Activision announced that World at War would be Treyarchs final product for the Call of Duty IP.

With that said, World at War is a complete binary copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare into WW2 setting. Treyarch couldn't even come up with their own engine. The game is a total flop. It has less than 30k players on at peak times, while MW is back up to 150k on weekends and 70k every night.

    /shrug.

    Looks like GoW2 wins v. W@W.

    Only against W@W though.

World at War has more of a gory type engine though. The thing that made COD4 such a good game, was the modern day war theme it had. World at War completely killed it. Haven't played GoW2 but I have played the first, and by how bad World at War is, I'd choose GoW2.

GOW 2 Easy Call of Duty 5 was terrible imo, but like someone already said if you asked CoD 4 it would of been diffrent

  13. Although I still love GoW2, I agree with everything else in this statement. Facts ftw.

I'll have to go with Gears 2. Who wants to see another Call of Duty in the WWII era again? Seriously.
