It might be just me but based on the ammount of "straight and proud" type of posting... that you guys are somewhat insecure about it...
nice to see there are some open-minded people here. for the anti-gays...i respect your religious beliefs. but your beliefs are not universal. moreover i think many christians fail to do their homework on their own religion and don't realize it's the ACT of homosexuality that the bible considers a sin. in addition to that, you're simply a fool if you think all gays are the loud and proud obnoxious people you would see in some of the parades. i'm gay, i'm not proud, and neither are a lot of other gays. look past the stereotype. i'm just like you, as much as you would like to believe otherwise.
just so you know i wasnt stereotyping gays as being the loud ones at the parades and stuff, im saying the ones who are prosecuted are often the ones who do that. I personally know a few people who you would never have guessed they were gay. They are open about it, but only if you ask them or it comes up in conversation and stuff. I see gays as being 100% like anyone else, the only time I dont get along with a gay is either 1) because of the person and the way they act (id be mad at straight people for the same reasons) or 2) because they like tried to make a move on me AFTER they knew i was straight and have no interest in guys.
