try to unplog it for 1 minute ..... wait for 1 minute .... and plug it again ...... if u dont wait for 1 minute it wont work

 

so unplug the dlink[ethernet thing]
or the other one?

 

99% of routers are crap

especially on linux and my particular install fo windows... for some re4ason my router forces my computer to restart randomly, i need to reinstall windows I have isolated it to that..

tried the one minute thing

 

Go in the router setting and look for upnp and disable it. its a common problem with most routers. sbc modems have that problem 2 but ur not connected to the modem so dont worry about that.
if u cant find it then u need to disable the upnp on ur computer for ur ethernet port look it up on google.

 

actually my computer has the router and the ethernet thing
couldnt find anything with upnp either

i did the upnp thing but i have an xp

and for teh 1 min thing do i wait 2 min or 1

 

thot, do you know how to get into your router to change settings??

normally it is 192.168.0.1

disconnect the link that is grey ...... color grey dunno what colors is urs but ur move it circle so it take it out ...... not the energy of the connection and is circle circle cable .... unplug it and wait 1 minute and turn ur modem off and turn it on again
