On the news the other day, Bush said they are opening up oil reserves, but its not expected to lower prices much at all, so meh. And here its like $3.20. I can't even imagine what this might do to the economy, with higher costs for gas, means people who drive for a living will need higher pay, and the employers will have to do it, therefore, when like a business like meijers or walmart or something needs a shipment, they will be charged more by the driving company to help pay for their drivers, and it will just get worse for everything, especially as slow as its taking to get gas to these stations. And to those who say ride bikes or walk, you must live in a big city like new york or something. My dad has to be in work by like 6 a.m. and his work is probably a good 20 miles or so. For anyone in his position, there is no way you can walk there unless you start waking up at like midnight, (perhaps exaggeration there).
i heard that bush said he's about to crack down on gas prices getting jacked up, i dunno the full story though
i doubt it, he basicly cant, with the supply and demand with limited resources, prices will go up. [/b][/quote] He wont... Before he became president he worked with oil... He's probably not going to do anything about the price.
well we were talkin in my history class yesterday about all of this crap and my teacher said that we have this big supply of oil n stuff just incase disasters like this happen with the hurrican n all and bush might let some of it out, which will make the prices lower.
Basically its like this. 35 petroleum oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico washed away. One to within two hundred yards of a beach in dauphin island, Alabama. In case you dont realize this, those 35 rigs are 95% of the oil production in the Gulf of Mexico. So how the hell can you blame Bush for the rise in gas??, In case you dont watch the news or read it, Bush has opened the reserves or gas would be even higher now. So why you try blaming him stop and think if he hadnt opened the reserves gas would of tripled.
