The prices are lowered, because there is a huge congressional election coming up in November. (Nov. 2nd to be exact)

The republicans want to stay on top, and to ensure that, they lowered gas prices so americans would not be outraged, and not vote for them.

This is not an opinion, it's a pure fact. My dad is politician.

The day after the election, gas prices will go right back up.

Now think about it, IS there any other reason? It's not like iran lowered their prices.. rofl, we pay them same amt.

Damn. For some reason, I thought it was only up high because people would be traveling a lot... I guess not.

Until I read an article from a republican stating that is true, it is only an opinion. I don't care what your "father" says. Sorry charlie, doesn't work that way. If anything I would trust your father LESS because he is a politician.

Oh, this isn't about me caring if you trust me, this is about it being a Fact, whether you want to believe me, or my father, or not. But before you "disagree".. Ask yourself this, and if you have no answer, then we'll both know something:

Why would gas prices be lowered?

Keep in mind, and if you don't think that these are true then you're just an idiot:
    • We're still in iraq.
    • None of our suppliers have "lowered gas prices" for USA to buy.
    • The "new" oil found, will take 7 years no less to get out of the ground and into our cars.

So, any other reasoning you may have? I'd love to hear it. :)

Oh, and did I mention that my dad IS a republican?

It doesn't matter if I can think of any other reason, that's just yet another conspircy theory. And until it is PROVEN, without speculation, then I would appreciate you not calling it a fact. An opinion is not a fact, no matter how much sense it makes.

And to your edit that your dad is a republican, he's a rather dumb one to be telling people that, and you're acting rather dumb by telling people.

oil companies are just totally corrupt making record profits and they jack the prices really anytime there is any "terrorist threat" since there has been and always will be some sort of threat. Oil prices normally go up in the summer months due to ppl traveling more but since 9/11 they just look for any excuse to raise prices.
