they should all work as for the cooling system the case comes with like 1 fan and the processor comes with amds recommed hsf
depends on the size of case, mine came with 4 fans hahaha and as for the 20$ rebate for the gfx card, when it gets that time to order it, it will be gone haha. unless i were to buy it all at once
I was looking at some other cases and I was wondering if you could take a look at this one i found. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811208009 That one is cheaper than the one you found. Its pretty much the same, other than the fact the its a little smaller. I made sure it supported ATX motherboards. They have on like this for $59.99 with a power supply. But I was also looking at PSU's and i found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817182021 Basicly the same as the one you picked out, doesnt have LEDs because they had none with green LEDs. But all the stats are pretty equal. So what do you think about me getting that case and PSU instead of the ones you picked out? Do you think they will still work the same?
ya i fully customized one a while back at alienware and i think it came to 30 000$ hahaha to get to you? yes, but i meant by the time u save up for something u want to buy and there is a rabate, it will be gone when ur ready to order. Ive seen so many on the ones i plan on buying. I was lucky i got 50% off my cpu when i ordered it.
To whoever is saying that AMD is so much better than intel, no. The conroe has the upper hand right now, and thats Intel.
Computer Kid said it. But what he actually said was that it was better for gaming. Really I have no idea, I dont care what I get, I just need something that is pretty good for playing games.
and sadly you keep saying that you are not a fanboy, but sadly you are. Intel has the upper hand on everything right now, and then later in this year, they will be even. When one processor has 128-bit pathways, 65nm technology against amd's 90nm and 64bit pathways, there really is no question. They are both very efficent, but still Intel has an upper hand in that. The Intel processors are now as efficent and seem to be Overclocking better. FSB is getting better and better, and since HT isnt as efficent as FSB, intel processors are catching up there.
You should have at least one extra fan, one comes in the PSU, and if you are overclocking, I suggest zalman water cooling and a good heatsink on the processor
Do not listen to Computer Kid... It's worthless buying AMD A64 now while intel has Conroe. Seriously, don't!!!!! If you get the lowest Conroe and overclock it a ghz, you will O W N the amd 4800/5000+ Look at those stats, they don't lie! As you can see it totaly beats the AMD4800 x2, and the 4800x2 is much better then the 3800 SINGLE Core. Wait for xelink or johnd. They'll give you a nice buil, or otherwise I'll, but DEFENATLY dont get the build which he posted!!! About your other post; The case is fine, if you like it, its okay The power supply is also fine, as long as you don't get a videocard that eats power. I dont have time to link you directly to the parts Motherboard: $149.99 Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Processor: Around 200$ Intel Core 2 Duo E6300. ya... i do not think he will be overclocking due to the fact he does not no how to build a computer Merged Post: as for johndapunk he was banned .
you can buy a cheap mobo and cheap psu, chaep hd and a good cpu and get a 1337 vidoe card. Make sure to get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130032
if anything it's going down in a day or two... because AMD slashed prices... because Intel ditched their truely ----ty pentium 4/Pentium D lineup in favor of Core 2 on the 27th.... yay for athlon x2 3800+ for 150... if only the e6300 wasn't soo much better for only 183.... and when i say better i mean better on stock vs. a 4400+ or perhaps a 4600+ also don't go absolutely cheap on the motherboard and powersupply. you can go "not-expensive" but don't go cheap ePower PUMA!! 450W PSU $46.50 it has the same amperage on the 12V rail as the 650W model(so for $46.50 you are effectively getting the same thing as the way expensive 650W PSU) also, we know john was banned. He represented a friend on a sale and it turns out his friend was some dumbass ripper. for 1000$, this is what I would get intel Core 2 Duo e6400 $220 MSRP(we'll see) BioStar T-Force 965-chipset board $135 MSRP or lower(we'll see) G. Skill 2GB DDR2-800sdRAM (Teal) $190 Puma II 450W PSU $46.50 ATi Radeon x800GTO $90-115 250GB Seagate PRM baracuda harddrive $80(320 for 100ish) pretty much and DVD burner $35-40 pretty much any standard ATX case. $30-a lot I will dig up specific links a bit. What I chose should be pretty damn good straight off the bat. But ti's also Overclockeable to hell should you choose. also, Devastation, link me to that gigabyte motehrboard for 150 as the only conroe board I've seen form them is 250ish
