Yes you read it right. I dunno how many places have it but the GameStop by me has started fingerprinting customers. Its supposed to help with theft. If you trade in a game system they will log the serial number and if a cop comes lookin for that system because it was stolen they will have the record of getting it and your fingerprints so the cops can find you faster. I was talking to the manager and he said they are gonna be doing it to alot of the stores. I was wondering if anyone here has been fingered by their local GS

    That's what I was thinking!

How the ------ will war veterans who had their hands sawn off by terrorist trade in an Xbox for in store credit now?

    YOU PEOPLE DISGUST ME.

It would definitely be an inconvenience, but I mean how many times are you actually returning game systems, and what do you really have to worry about if you're not actually stealing anything.

    False

That's kinda weird. They don't do that here in NY.

Yea I went to my game stop the other day to pick up demon souls and he told me that within the next year or two it should be pretty much everywhere. I dont understand the full need for fingerprinting but some people seem to like it.

Here in New Zealand we don't even have to give real credit card information when buying games, let alone real fingerprints.

They haven't done that for any Gamestops around here. I doubt this new system would help much anyways. It's not like Gamestop is the only place to sell consoles and games.

    Fisticuffs, I believe.

Way to go, you just spammed the forum to get your 100 posts.

Is Gamestop the equivalent to EB Games? I bet they'll do the same here in Canada.

Who cares? Everyone just warez games these days. These days prices are so ridiculously high and the games are so ridiculously short, it's a waste of money buying them.
