Just wanted to know from a gamers input, what do you see to be the new "popular/fad" game for 2007? -limits to PC only -old school game still applies: IE. Counter-Strike, Starcraft, Warcraft 3
I agree, BC sold 31 million copies on release. That is a lot. However I'm expecting something from Unreal Tournament 2007. I hope it will be a "lasting" crowd pleaser.
WoW. And it was 3.1M within the first 24 hours of hitting the stores, not 31M. The game has been the most popular game since its release.
Ya WOW and CS 1.6 and CSS:Source are still bumpin Dunno abou t anything else. UT Game fads only last a couple years, then people stop playing.
Sadly it's gunna be WOW which is overrated. Sorry fanboys, but it is. I guess it's the only thing the PC really has going for it other then CS Source. Not much of a PC gamer though so yeah. ~Ciel
Sorry meant to say 3.1 not 31 million. Thank you for the correction Dementia. CS is still popular for its long life span. However rumors say Unreal 2007 will take its standing next to CS and CS:Source. WoW is still the top MMORPG I believe. But several old and new companies have jumped on the bandwagon with MMORPG's. Ragnarok Online is going to be releasing its 2nd edition; RO2. IAH Gaming is going to be releasing Granado Espada this coming summer to N.America. NCsoft with Lineage I, Lineage II are doing well. - Do you believe the next decade for gaming will consist on mostly Online-Role-Playing-Games? (not typical RPG's. IE: Final Fantasy) but role playing, Like Need For Speed. You have a career and build your own vehicle, race online, build up reputation and form your own "clan"
If you haven't played, please don't say its overrated. I said the same thing when I was a GW player, but since I have picked up WoW, its just like... wow, now I see what everyone was talking about.
I would like to see Starcraft make a comeback again. Maybe Blizzard would then finish up starcraft ghost and make a Starcraft 2 maybe.
I'm going to go with, The Lord of the Rings Online : Shadows of Angmar. It's still in beta at the moment, but after the release and they start putting out expansions, this game is going to be great.
WoW and CS are going to always when it seems computer wise even though I don't play either they seem to be very popular with the CPU gaming community. Just my input on how I see things leveling up to each other and bla bla bla .
