Gamerenders // Ripping Renders

I think GR already sent an e-mail to the game companies asking if they could use their game images and most of them responded with a yes.

 

DAs sumbmission policy allows 3rd parties to use submitted work so technically it is not ripping.

 

Well I Never render stuff that an actual artist made just stuff from a movies and games

 

And they are made by what? monkeys with brushes?

the think i'm wondering is this.

if we can't use renders off dA, then why are we allowed to use GAME renders??

people are making MONEY off those games! im' SHOCKED!

Here ill show you a little section in dA just so yalll can read it.. i read all yalls post some of them are answered in this.

And i believe jessie should take off "His brush pack" because theyre not actually created by him he should just link to all the best brush creaters out there..

 

so in the render section i have to ask if i could use that render ?

Even though this is an important thread some members might continue on ripping DA or CG pics regardless of this notice - I think there should be a link/or a banner/text on the main page that "GR consider RIPPING very seriously & can result in ban" which enables the member to luk at when they first come to this site - I personally think hardly any members enter this part of GR of Announcements/news- Just a suggestion - Thx for clearing this up guys helped me what i cant render and not rip (ive neva ripped b4 since i came to GR)

Ive been bitching for him to take it off for a while now. I dont think its gonna happen

 

I've used 2 renders in the past week from CGtalk.com. I emailed both artist telling what part of the image I was going to use and that it was for a sig. You know what, they replied back saying sure. They were both happy and surprised that I had taken the time to email them for their permission to use the images. Wasn't that hard, and I also have the email history showing the gave me permission. Try it everyone, I don't think the majority of the artist out there will say no.

The only request was that the sig with their image didn't display a link to another artist site.
