Gamerenders // Ripping Renders

I am not talking about people USING the brushes but people posting them in ----ing brushpacks that are not DOWNLOADED from my DA account. You dont get it...

 

you didnt read my latest post, I didnt get what you meant at first cuz it wasnt that clear what you meant. But I do now and as I said it will only hurt yourself by getting irritated or pissed about people spreading you brushpack in different places since many people wont read this or dont care about it. A good idea is to write when you download the brush on DA do not spread this brushpack on other sites...

GR should do something about it, its as bad as stealing a picture without someones permission ...

 

i wont worry about it im not gonna take any render from here and post them somewhere else. but i will use them for my sigs

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but what about images in the stock Photos area? Arn't they there for people to use them? I don't go to Deviant Art much accept to get brushes so I don't know.

 

Well then, lets ban all non-origonal artwork. Almost everyone uses licensed material in avatars or in thier sigs. Movie sequences in avatars or sigs, comic book characters, movie/tv characters, even photos of cars and such are under ownership and may not be redistributed/used without written consent of ownership. In the day of the internet and the ol' right click-save picture as, access to these works are easier than ever. You don't want people to get to your work have your host site block write click funtionality. Watermark your work, even one site I've been to has it set so that you can see a clean scaled down version of the image but if you click to enlarge it comes with a watermark even stopping you from print screening the image. As for me I would be flattered if someone wanted a portion of my work for something that was not for profit, but by all means if they were trying to resell it as their own go after them.

Just my opinion, and I will do my best to adhere to the rule set forth by Gamerenders.

 

If they are royalty free then you should be able to use them, though only if the creator has made it clear that this is the case.

 

Any update on the brushes?

 

Lets put it this way
Renders, like game renders...say a Halo render from the Site...they WANT you to use those renders and are NOT Copyrighted by teh site...yet EVERYTHING submitted to DA is copyrighted by DA. So if anythings moved and sold of, not linking to DA etc...then its breakling a small law.

 

What if you say drew a picture and put it on DA but then wanted to use it in a signature would that still be allowed?

i have a question: what if u make a pack but u dont ask for anything in return, like example:

A pack i have with +300 renders, free for use. i dont want anything in return, no +rep, no creds, nuthing.

If you are the creator of any renders in this pack, and dont want them in it, PM me and i will remove them.

im with himI mena you cant say you really own a image on the web. IF we cant use a DA picture then the site mays well be shut own. Did any one call the various game studios to make sure we can use their games pictures?I dont think any one did and technically the studio that makes the game own those images.
