Gamerenders Irc Chat Room

    The GameRenders chat room has got a bit quiet recently so I am trying to revive its popularity.

    You can access the chat room by clicking on the following link:

    http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?act=chat

    If you get any sort of java error and the applet does not load, you will need to install the latest version of Java from http://www.java.com

    -----------------

    If you have mIRC installed and prefer to use it, you can also access it on irc.quakenet.org in channel #gamerenders

    For those of you who want to try and install mIRC, here is a tutorial of how to set it up: http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php...t=0#entry303206

    I will personally be in there as much as possible, so if you would like to talk to me or other members at GameRenders then feel free to join

    I have mIRC but it never lets me connect to anything. Also heres what I get when I try to go through the chatroom:

    [07:54] Connecting...
    [07:54] Logging in...
    [07:54] -- *** Looking up your hostname
    [07:54] -- *** Found your hostname, cached
    [07:54] -- *** Checking Ident
    [07:54] -- *** Got ident response

    And so far it has just sat at this point.

    Maybe change your name or somthing. Ident = Identity? Iono, I dont use mIRC.

    Iono what Ident is unless its your nick or somthing? Use mIRC or at the top of GR you can join the IRC chat room with java. :P

    mIRC better i think connects straight away rather than the java one on here - Using it right now

    u have to leave it to connect for a minute or 2, maybe you have a firewall blocking IRC?

    Just leave it, it still may connect, mine does this all the time...

    I was getting this problem a wihle back too. Turns out my firewall was blocking. Try going in, and let the firewall block it... then check your security logs and enable the gamerenders one. I forget exactly what it said... but it is something to the extent of IRC, or gamerenders. Shouldn't be too hard to spot. I'll be on later when I return from work. :D

    I have a router, but shouldnt have to open any special ports for it... Atleast I dont....
