id say, go with the cutting down.

The monthly fee sounds like a great idea.

AG is going through a rough spot right now. I recently dislocated my knee so I'm not supposed to be moving around more than I have to. And my computer is upstairs and I'm only up here twice a day for a few minutes.

On top of this myself and many other AG members are going through testing. AP tests are coming up for me, end of course tests, exams, end of project, etc. They are all killing me.

That's the basic reason why AG is somewhat innactive right now.

I think we should raise the requirements, but the staff already knows how I feel about that situation.

Anyways, this was my few minutes on the computer today. :D

also there are a few closed crew that should be cleared from the fourm and all the inactive crews should be suspened or something

and maybe stop the making of crews for awhile because there are alot of crews nowadays

I think everything said is decent.

    A Monthly Fee.
A Crew Battle Every So Often.
And a higher pay fee for creating a crew.

I paid 5k for my crew (pretty sure it was 5k before they lowered it) so i wouldn't like to have to pay more to keep it running, i do not have the credits to do this so i have to disagree with the monthly charge as i don't see why we should have to pay more for something that we have already paid a lot for in the first place.

I think i do enough for the members on here as it is, also why should the crews who contribute to the site already have to contribute more by paying a set fee every month, i think this is a little unfair to be honest. Also i know a couple of crews who have made psd packs to give out to the members, mine included which we are currently working on now.

Also why should we have crew battles what would actually be the purpose in doing this? I really don't see what this would be about.

To keep the crews active, and we haven't said anything like crews don't give to the members. Personally I don't see why they should, they're paying to be part of a well-knownst GFX crew.

Who wants to join a crew made by someone who doesn't know anything about PS, etc.

Crews owe nothing to the community other then being a tiny figure head, like me and other Donators and Premium Members.

Exactly. The crew starts as nothing, and builds from there. So, its basically trying to build your empire ground up.

I dont like the credit raise for some reason, if an artist cant sell, it seems like they may be out of money for the monthly payment.

I feel monthly payment should be based on crew size, but thats my opinion.

Many people who came into my crew were not known at all on GR, most of these have left the crew now though to go into a better 'well known' crew which i do not have a problem with, the purpose of my crew was to actually help people out who needed it, everyone was welcome, only recently did i change it a little, i still let a couple of 'new' guys to ps join my crew just so that my members can help them with their graphic skills.

I also don't see how these changes would help to keep a crew active, if anything it would make people close a lot of the crews down as they would not be able to afford a monthly bill and meet the requirements that some of you guys are asking for.

Sorry i just don't like this idea at all, nothing against you guys or anything i just don't like the suggestions being put through right now. :)

Kirbir- the only one i like is the monthly payment. It keeps the crew on its feet, and forces it to actually do something. Take AG for example, if this came into effect, they just would make a LR tag pack and they got it :)

Id like to see some staff post here, since what they say ultimately determines this.

I know what you are trying to say but i don't like the idea at all, my crew are on its feet but i also let a lot of new guys to ps into my crew to learn from the other members within it. Why should we have to pay a monthly fee? We shouldn't, we paid quite a lot just to be able to make the crew already why should we have to pay more to keep it open?

imma not goin to read all that...

the more expensive you make creating and maintaining a crew, the more about creds a crew will become. make someone shell out 10k to start and 1k/month to run a crew and all they'll be doing is selling stuff to stay in business.

most important part of a crew is committed leadership. if the leaders don't organize assignements, battles w/e the crew will die. the mods shoud interview everyone who wants to make a crew and then deicde on approving the creation. someone who goes 'i want to make a crew to put cool characters in my name' or somethi vague liek 'to learn' isnt indicating much initiative or originality in running a crew. its not a self-sustaining entity that just runs itself.

Red Alert- mind to elaborate on that? I dont understand any other way to do it. If it takes 5k to get a crew off the ground, then what after that? Its kind of like a subscription, you pay to keep it. that keeps your crew active, and your members active. When it goes down, there could be a waiting period. if you dont pay in that time, its done. It seems to be able to clean the threads up easier
