Its not that fact that we are using them for leasure and fun thats unethical and wrong...its the fact that people were using them for profit which was wrong.

You guys make me laugh with all your arrogant comments. This is a rule that should have been implemented before.
You call sell your psd's for "credits" but not for money. I myself do not even like people using my brushes on sigs for profit without my consent.
It's ok to have videogame renders on here just as long as they are not used for profit. Why do you think companies like IGN, GameSpot, and such use videogame images on their sites? Because they can. Most videogame companies distribute images allowing people to use their characters for different purposes.

i have a question: say someone on DA made a piece of artwork and it was kickass and you wanted to render it...if you got written permission from them to sell a PSD w/ their rendered artwork in it for money would it be allowed?

It would be allowed but getting that written permission is near impossible. Getting permission to use it is different but getting permission to sell it is near impossible.

Erm.. I guess it would be, but I don't know any artists that would like someone selling a piece of their artwork like that unless they get a profit of some sort.

Well, i guess i can agree with the new rules. I haven't been here that long to really see alot of the ".psd whoring" but i'm sure its out there. This is just one of those things to prevent people from using someone else's work to gain something themselves. Which i don't like.

I appreciate the resources and the help this site has, but really, if you are taking someone else's work and selling it yourself, that is just unethical, especially if your price is higher than the person you got it from. <_<

ok i totally understand why we cant sell for real money...anyways you would have to be a fool to pay real money for a sig

but anyways why cannot we not resell full rights multiple times for GR Credits?

A very good reason would be to slow the inflation of creds. People care more about creds nowadays and we have to keep the cred-hungry people tamed.

Why do I have the urge not to sell any of the 250 PSD's laying on my computer now?

yeah full rights was a bit hazy with the rulings. but this clears it up, I may not like the rules but at least it clears them up and makes it easier.
