You can sell for credits, you just can't sell for money. And its not if YOU render the picture its only if you created the render...drew it or painted it or whatever. To sell something for money, it has to be 100% yours.

    Yes, I agree completely.

The admins/mods should not have any say in what we do with our PSDs. WE made them, WE should be able to sell them on OUR conditions.

GR is becoming a communist community. MODS need to back off. Let us do our own ----!

this is very true - but i think you need to reconsiter - if you were a mod - you'd have to go with what the admins were saying - so you wouldn;t get fired.

the rules have been getting stricter - the thing i think is funny that BFTP bought rights to pegs psd's - especially when he did not use his own brushes or renders - for real money

no offence bftp - but you kind of abided the rule you posted - but of course this was in the past  - im not bagging on you though just a funny fact

These rules came into effect after contious problems & complaints by members. I can't help it if when i did it, i was the leader(and first one to do so.)

Now we have people who have bought and gathered up 1,500 PSDs and tried selling full PSD rights. These are the rules at GameRenders, take it or leave it.

We try listening to the members suggestions always, if you have a better, logical one..my inbox is open, and i am interested in listening.

As the community grows more and more(we broke 2 records today), stuff is going to slowly change to help make it easier on the admin & moderators who keep this community(at least try) fun for all, and running without problems.

The problem with that statement is that the majority or the main focus of the sig...you DID NOT make. You never made the render for your sig, so why should you profit off of it? Most people just use the render in the bg anyways or other peoples brushes. Therefor...it really isn't your creation. It really isn't your artwork you are trying to sell...

ok so you're saying that for McDonalds to sell and make a profit off of a cheeseburger then they need to raise the cattle, butcher it, grow the wheat for the bun, get the milk for the cheese and so on? i mean the cheeseburger wasnt totally their creation was it?

Its not like McDonalds was stealing the beef and ingredients...they paid for it. And its a totally irrelevant analogy because it has nothing to do with copyrights and whatnot. If you put it in that kind of anology its like saying that McDonalds would be stealing cows and making cheesburgers to sell...that would be illegal. Just like what was happening here.

what im gettin at is that if u buy full rights from someone u should be able to sell it multiple times...just like the creator should be able to sell it as many times as he want as well
if u buy it u should be able to do with it as you wish...i mean come on we are talking about gfx and 'credit' on a website

Yes, arranging brushes, renders etc IS art. And i know, i have stated it before, we all rip and illegaly use renders off of gamewallpapers, and use this in our sigs. it states clearly in their terms and agreements or w.e that you CANNOT disform/manipulate/use in any other fashion than what they have provided. We all ifringe on copyright laws. Thats just graphics.
