Recent threads & suggestions have made it apparent that new rules need to be placed, to better help the current GameRenders Staff in such places as The Marketplace and from legal issues.

The new rules that are now in effect include the following:

Your only allowed to sell full resell rights or full rights once, and then they get FULL RIGHTS to it. This means, no matter what, it belongs to them and they get to choose what to do with it afterwards. This basically means when you sell a PSD for full resell rights/full rights, it is not yours anymore. You give away that option with full resell rights/full rights. This is to keep from multiple people selling the same PSDs, which can be hectic for moderators to keep track of.

A defintion(based on GameRender standards) of full rights:
Now that we're done with that issue, the next one is PSDs for money transactions. If you sell any work via at GameRenders for money, it must be completey yours in every shape and form. This includes renders, brushes, any images found in the picture, and design. When we say design, this means you can't recreate the Windows logo and sell it via the auction room or Market place. Your allowed to sell the PSDs for credits, but not for money.

Again we remind the public, if its illegal to do elsewhere, its not allowed here.

If any questions, feel free to respond. After all input is put in, i'll update the GR rules to reflect these changes wtihin 48 hours.

    Thanks,
    GR Staff

    To further re-iterate this point...

Full rights enables a buyer to alter, or use the sig in any manner they choose provided it does not infringe on sotw or battle rules. Meaning, if you didn't make this sig, you can't use it in a battle... but you may wear it in your sig area. This does not allow you to resell the sig to anyone.

Resell rights enable you to sell the psd to one person and give them resell rights in the process. Once you have done this, you have no rights to psd anymore. This includes wearing it or altering it as you would with full rights. (Note- when given resell rights... it also gives you full rights permissions.)

For learning purposes sigs may be sold to as many people as you choose if you have resell rights in the sig in the first place. If you buy a psd with learning rights, you may not resell it.

I'll give you a real life example:

I(Person A) make a PSD i love, and sell it in the auction room for full resell rights. Person B buys it from me for 500 credits. They are allowed to sell it for learning rights as much as they want, but cannot resell full rights in anyway on the PSD they bought for 500 credits.

Interesting. This should clear up lots of confusion with "full rights"

In other words - If I was to make a sig with a Kazuya render in it - I couldn't sell that sig for money as it'd infringe copyright laws :)

Glad yah'z cleared that up man!! New rules should hopefully put the market place back in order :)

You never know, some poeple are crazy, and when you are making profit off something, because someone else made it is kind of cheezy.

No Premium Member, we tried to be nice like that when the lottery rules came into effect- but one person kept a lottery going for 2 months just because it was the last one created before the new rule.

All topics selling full PSD rights will be closed within the next half hour

Can you show proof you have the right to sell the psd's?

So, does this mean in my shop, i can only sell psd's with full rights once and then i can never ever sell them again? J/w, I like yet dislike the new rules, but I guess I'll just live with it.
