ok, i was watching full metal jacket... again, but this time i realized somthing, somthing different, ok, when joker is talking to the general about the writting on his helmet and his peace sign he said its "about the duality of man" and i realized the who movie is about the duality of man, or rather of why men kill, you see in the beggining piles, lawrance lawyer to the fans, shoots the drill surgent out of revenge, anger, and psycopathy(akill based on compassion), but later in the war scenes they kill because they think north korea will repress south vietnam if they decide to invade so they kill north vietnamise soldiers out of their want to help the south vietnamise people(killing out of compassion)
so the entire movie is a statement about death, not war, but does say that war is part of death and causes death, this really makes the movie better in my eyes, what do you think
