Ftp Server?

Call me a n00b, but what is it? How do I download stuff from it?

FTP is just like HTTP, it's just a different section of the internet.

for hosting, FTP makes it esier to upload IPB, or any other forum. it allows you to upload multiple files at once.

FTP servers are generally used for warez, but not all of them. They can do this only because the government can not say what is on your FTP, there's like a bill that was passed or something...

 

Yeah, but do you need some kind of special programe to download from it?

 

any of my ftp client progs i have in my free software list.

you would need to know the ftp's site, name, and password tho..

 

Well u can use FlashFXP, CuteFTP and even ur own browser(DL only) and there are many others just go on google and search "FTP Clients"

BTW if u didnt know FTP means File Transfer Protocol.
