    If youre going to skimp on the ram/PSU/GPU I suggest you pick a different board other than DFI.

    I would rather get a 3500 for the processor, its only like 10 bucks more...

    and I would rather get an ASUS than a DFI, you'll save a few bucks...

    DFI makes some of the best overclocking systems for k8, there is a reason why 95% of DFI boards are in AMD land....

    why not wait for conroe though? I am without a computer for about a month(unless you count a 233mhz PI w/ 40mb EDO ram) and I can wait... also note that with the exception of the vid card i didnt' look at any links.. takes too long on this POC system...



    also, a 7600GT is better than the 6800GT and is cheaper, not to mention more energy efficient.
