Free Lr Sigs

I find it kind of annoying how lately people have been giving out free .psds in the Offers and Requests section, because of a higher chance to get an increase in rep(since more people look there). There IS a section JUST FOR GIVING OUT PSDS, but no.. they must post it in the O/R section because they want more rep! i find it kind of greedy to do something like that, so i want to ask if you could make a rule against this?

 

Well tbh, when i gave free stuff away it was to the first 10 ppl or 20 ppl. If the person just gives away a psd for a limited time then it should go in O/r because its an Offer he is doing. But if he wants to give it out for a unlimited time. Then it should go in the resources section.

I give my psd's away in offers & requests. But most of time it's something like only 10 people or for 2 days.

I don't know why you have this opinion, because you always want the psd's for free.

 

I post mine in Offers and Request so more people can see it so more people can get help. For some reason you felt the need to minus --Rep me for being a nice guy. Nowhere in my thread do I ask for credits or rep or anything at all. I don't see what the big deal is with this. If you don't like free psds, don't ask for them or look in the topics. It's that simple.

He is offering something. Wich goes in the name of the seciton OFFERS and request.

 

so why have a resource section if it all can go into offers?

its to make them feel like the sig is worth more, and therfore, a higher chance of getting rep.

you dont have to ask for rep to know in your head that the chances of getting it are better in the O/R section.

 

Why give it away for a certain amount of time ? Because you dont want your tag to be worn out and worth nothing. If you give it away for to long to many ppl will have it wich means more ppl will scam him.. wich means the tag isnt worth anything .. and is "noobish"

 

only giving it away for a limited time would make fewer people be able to see the true "brilliance" of the sig, and those who were lucky enough to get it, would find that it gets old quickly, then not care about it anymore, and those who didnt get it wont care about it anyways, since they probably will never see the sig again. all good sigs have a "high time" but will always become old. if you gave it to everyone, the "high time" would be much larger, and chances are more people would like you, and appreciate your work more.

also, a good sig never becomes "noobish" as you put it. it is either "good" or "bad" depending on who's opinion it is.

That the more a tag is giving away the more its used the more it becomes old fast.

But if you keep the amount of psd givin away to a minimum then less people have it. Wich means that dosent become old.

notice that .xyz has gotten at least 4 rep increases today from his "free lr sig" in O/R today. he didnt ask for rep, but he knows he is going to get it, and so, he posts there.

im also concerned that too many people will start giving out free psds there, and it will become difficult to have people find the REAL offers and requests. when i first joined i didnt see that at all, but ive noticed that its being done more and more.

 

Are you saying that i shouldnt post my blingband give away there ?? because i got 2 reps from it ??
