So I was looking through my iTunes library, and I stumbled upon Franz Ferdinand. That reminded me that I have no idea what they're doing now. Are they recording? I know they're not touring. Taking a break maybe? I know they're playing Bonnaroo in June (with just about all of my other favorite bands...), but that's all I've heard.
They're recording and touring right now. Doing festivals, recording new songs, etc. etc. They said they were going to start recording December of 2007, and they hope to have a new album out by the time summer rolls around. They're a cool band. Not the greatest band in the world, but they have a nice slew of B-Sides and two decent albums. I like 'em. There's better to me, though. They're pretty busy. Can't wait to see what their new album will bring. Bonaroo this year does seem to have an awesome line-up. Pearl Jam, M.I.A., Jose Gonzalez, Battles, Death Cab, Vampire Weekend, Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kwelli, The Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket... the only hole in such an extensive, awesome line-up would be Metallica, but that can be forgiven with the likes of Led Zeppelin. I don't see Franz Ferdinand in this year's line-up, though. They were there last year...hmm.
