yeah i'm pretty sure you took what I wrote the wrong way.

 

change the word filters then... people can use pro, but it can come out as "i want this to be pro".

i figured i interpretted what you said wrong, you seem like a good enough guy in most of your posts, so yeah... but you have to read that last paragraph, because thats what would happen.

it already happens with staff here, much less something less competitive than a staff position. people would just start ass kissing and theyd get pro ratings because they friends are on the commitee and people on the commitee will rate them as novice/intermediate if they dont personally like the person. Adults are susceptable to becoming corrupted for popularity, or money, or w/e, and teenagers/kids are much worse. This site is pretty much run by teenagers (most of the staff, that is) and most of the people on this site have nothing else better to do but be online, so they want to be popular online.

Kids/staff would all start putting their friends sigs at a higher rating than they should be and their enemies would rate it lower.

erm, yes, if you even pay attention to have the stuff i say, my sigs take me about 10 minutes and i wear em for about a week and then sell them for about what UV and T3 sell them for.

Im suprised your even backing up T3, after all, they rejected you, which is why you started AM... oh, and same for Tipio... how many times now? Atleast a few. Im in a graphics 'group' (not crew), that deals with large pieces and not these kiddy sigs you guys keep basing your crews off of. Stuff that is actually digital art and we can make USD off of.

I dont hate crews, I just hate crews that are mainly signature crews, and I specified T3/UV because most of their sigs are basically what I do in my sigs and I personally dislike them. Not because of their techniques, because of their style, I just dont like sigantures. I appreciate every LP ive seen and rarely will I see a signature I like at all.

Don't judge and say things about me when you obviously have no clue where i'm talking about. If we like to make siggys and sell them here for creds, who are we bothering? Big mr. Dementia? If you don't wanna see this whole sig community, just go to Depthcore, that's where you belong don't you?

By the way, why would you say i was rejected by T3, yup i was rejected, but that doesn't mean i go bitching around that the crew would suck or something? No, i still like the crew, i just realise that i'm not at the level yet.

Did I say the crew sucked? No. I said I dont like most of the work that comes from them. I do like my sigs, but I get bored of them in about a week, which is why I sell them and replace them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. When people say my sigs suck, I ask why and I fix it, no bigs. You guys take way too much personally on the internet.

Your bothering more than just me, and im a member at quite a few large art communities lol, I just come back here for the conversations, note how most of my posts are in the "general" area, more specifically the off topic forum since thats where the fun is. Alot of people here arent even into art, they are here for games, or computers, or web design, etc.

Now, I wont continue to let this little flame go on, so flame if you will, but atleast do it in another topic or via PM and let this discussion continue as it was until you decided to come into here flaming my opinion of a couple of crews.

 

Counterrevenge? No, I just agree with .dementia. Now get ontopic, we weren't talking about sigs and large pieces but about sig ratings and semipro stuff that is actually novice.

 

I think there is nothing more to say. U should close the topic before it's "flaming" time...

 

If this topic continues to turn into a flame war, I will hand out warnings, as well as close this thread. So lets behave, and continue to share ideas, rather then continue with the petty bickering please.

anyway, 98% of the people who apply to t³ get rejected. so if someone takes it personally, they shouldnt. Pretty much the only people we accept are people that we know ALL of their work, which is why it seems like its mostly people from private forums such as bE, and fathom, because we have been working with them for a while and we know there current work and their potential. We are a good crew, and we arent going to accept anyone that applies, only the people that we are 100% that would improve our crews reputation for being ONE of the best on this site. But then again, like you, people have different opinions on sigs, but for the most part, most people have the same opinion on what is good, and what is bad.

I'm by no means "good" at graphics or Photoshop. I'll be the first to admit it, however it's a sure bet I would never presume my work to be pro or be offended if someone thought it wasn't.

Art is subjective to personal opinion. You can look at the Mona Lisa and think it's a painting of some ugly hag or you can look at it and think it's a masterpiece. It changes for each person.

So I don't think removing the ability to say "<|PRO TAG/TUT FOR SALE|>" is wrong. It's an excellent idea to just state "Spiderman Tag/Tut" or whatever type of graphic it is. Then you don't get people in your thread saying how crappy it is after you advertised it as being pro.

 

I have never heard anyone say that the Mona Lisa sucks, but I get what you are saying
