Can you buy those lil recovery discs that formats your computer and re-installs windows? I had one that came with my pc but the metal slidey thing broke, so when i put it in, it does nothing :censored: :censored: also, whats that extension thingy you put on the end of a shortcut target to make it load up faster? something to do with prefetch its like :/prefetch or something. either go to your OEM and request one. I know Dell normally charges 50$ for their new discs not sure about their old ones. or buy a bare naked windows XP disc, XP home costs $90 make sure to have proper drivers lined up if you go this route though.
