There should be a web design discussion forum. Anyway. I have created a forum for my web site, as a way for people to contact me. Because my knowledge or rather lack of knowledge in server side scripting it is an html form. When you click the submit button, it's supposed to send an e-mail directly to me, but it doesn't. It opens the operating systems defeuly e-mailing software. Eg. Outlook Express, and then you have to send it through there. My question is does anyone know how to make it so that it sends it directly to me when the submit button is clicked ? Thanks.
To be perfectly honest, I don't think that you can change the preferences of the viewer's computer to not open up the email client. The only way I know how to accomplish what you want is to use CGI scripts to create the form.
I totally forgot about this post and never seen any of the replys. Sorry about that. Yea my hero Equivalent Exchange wrote a little php script Thanks mate.
