There is a new breed of hacks out.

A step above the original "Packet Level", now hackers can literally control your Gunz remotely by spoofing packets.

Basically, when you enter a game you connect to everyone. The hacker sees the IP's that he is connected to by sniffing UDP packets. Then he takes those IP addresses and sends fake packets with your IP to the central server, thereby controlling your Gunz game.

You can be withdrawn from a clan , forced to buy any item from the store until you are broke (medkits are popular), automatically commit suicide (When you enter /suicide, a client-side timer starts , and at the end of the timer the game sends a /suicide packet to the server and suicides you. This just speeds up the process), rapidly join and leave games, even from other channels, even while in another game !.

Seeing the trend of this type of hacking, next up will be deleted characters and stolen accounts.

My personal advice to you: If you are playing in a game and you commit suicide for no reason or are leaving and rejoining without doing it yourself, do not even try to leave the game, don't try to go to another channel. You will be automatically replaced in the hackers game. I suggest you IMMEDIATELY press ALT+F4 and switch to another server.

In all seriousness, do NOT even bother to leave the game and play another game. Just switch server.

i recommend u guys to stop playing gunz this few weeks ..... so they can fix that hack or bug ....... i really hate this :censored:

Old news, gunz always had hacks. its been insecure since day one, I backtraced a wannabe he was trying to hack me he was infiltrating via packets, because of the ports needing to be opened, he then tried again when I forced him out and shut him outta the game, blocking his open ports for the game, AE is right, be careful

Gunz Online is a good game, but i stopped playing it because of those hackers...Since they are litterally controlling the business of the game.

personally, i wouldnt call a hacker a loser. if they have the knowledge to do things so big as to rob a bank over the internet, i wouldnt call them a loser. i would call them extremely intelligent. Even when its simple stuff like GunZ, i think their intelligent, if you know how to do something that alot of other people dont know how to do, i would say you were gifted, not a loser.
