It will hardly be visible in the night sky under the most favorable conditions. i suggest finding out where it's going to occur on your side of the world and either taking out a telescope of binoculars. there will be no boom. You know how a comet has a tail of dust, etc? it's just going to be that except 40 times brighter.

The comet is to big for the object to change it's course. Even if it does they have calculated that it will in no way affect it to the point where it comes hurdeling towards earth.
