Firefox Wont Connect.

    its permitted to use the internet through my firewall, but it still wont connect.

    any sugesstions?

    make sure you have your outbound connwection enabled as well

    The one that comes up with Windows Xp.

    that tells me balls.

    is it:

    Norton Firewall, Kaspersky, ZoneAlarm, etc.

    that's windows firewall, can you go on any other browser?

    make sure your connection settings are set to direct connection to the internet. and if you're using proxy make sure you configured it right.

    yep already tried that.


    @ XMasterX: Im using IE right now and i downloaded Opera but it wouldnt connect either

    lol, that's what he said in the first place.
    Check your security settings on Firefox anything that might even remotely connected may be the cause. Also, check to see if Windows firewall is allowing that application to access the internet. I'm not sure how to do that using the Windows Firewall though, sorry. I would recommend turning off the firewall real fast, and then trying it. Also, you should use ZoneAlarm, it's a very nice and easy t setup firewall.

    turned firewall off, same result.

    Nope, i had 1.5 and then was told to update to 2.0 and it didnt connect.

    So i went back to 1.5 and BAM, same problem
