My thoughts exactly. There are so many issues surrounding IE it makes me wonder how you've "been in the industry" for so long, becuase every tech person I talk to will say firefox is superior.

Ok everyone that says that is superior then IE. Please tell me what was incorporated with in the 1.5 update to make it a must download. Give each thing that it updated. With that tell me how secure it was before, because I gaurentee you were saying that it was the most secure before 1.5 and tell me why you think it is secure.

I still need proof..... Resources not personel beliefs.

And I have said that it is a good browser, but not superior. But a competitor.

If it is software it has holes. With being version 1.5 I guarentee that there are more security holes in it then you think.

ahhhhhhh It boggles the mind
Like Outcast says no program is perfect, so there will aways be one or two bugs in the program and if there isnt hackers will always find a way to hack the browser anyway

So you call that a superior program. And I do know what was updated I just wanted one of you to prove how many bugs your superior version had in its last update. Of course something that has that many bugs should be superior program. Hell I mean if you buy a car that had that many bugs you would probably get it for free to.

Of course here is my list from yes you got it Mozilla

    Link

I had to post this to it made me laugh so damn hard........ Im still laughing.... Superior thats funny and I was starting to believe you......... lol There systems cant even list all the bugs that firefox has. Those are all open bugs to......

Oh buy the way that is a screen shot of IE 7 its the first beta from IE that I have used that there has been no problems with. You know what I am going to post some pics up in another thread.

When u cut all the bullshyt aside about the bugs and what not... FF > IE. I have never had problems with FF and its faster than IE from my experience anyway.... faster + more reliable + easier.

That bugs list just points out niggly things in the application, not things related to security which is what this main debate is about. Firefox is more secure.

BTW the only thing that I have noticed from the bugs list is the resize after full screen bug which takes half a second to fix up.

This is my explanation for why you presented this, especially since it is from a biased source and based on an outdated version

Blah, IE gives out too many spyware to be used, 421 in a month, FireFox, zilch. 1.5 FireFox is really good, FasterFox is handy which comes with it and cool themes.

IMO, it is what it cracked up to be .
