I havn't been able to decide what I want now a days. Is it better to use ONLY filters & defaults to make sigs or other peoples brushes that you've downloaded. I know I can make some really good sigs (not to brag or anything) with other peoples brushes, but it doesn't feel right. The brushes were made by somebody else while filters and defaults are more original in terms of making everything yourself... eh.. you decide which one is better... that way I can go back to making sigs and such Merged Post: Bumpy
Use whatever you are better at. Who cares if you use downloaded brushes? I use them too. I use them because I don't know how to make them, though I do not use the typical gunge brush, I mainly only download splatter brushes.
Right.. Filter and defaults are better, I think this the same reason you thought. because your creating it all yourself, with brushes your using someone elses art to create your own. And I think you learn alot more with filter and default, whereas brushes your repeatedly doing the same thing. Unless of course you create the brushes yourself, in which case you can use your brushes, becaus then youve made it all yourself without help.
I like Filters+Defaults more but that is due to me liking the results more. Just something about brushes I don't like, even though I will use them occasionally.
Filteres and Defaults are some of the most amazing things. Check out Morpehuz's harry potter tut or something like that.
from my perspective as someone who has a very limited understanding of making sigs brushing is always much easier and i am ashamed to say a lot more fun. I do want to clarify if i could use defaults and filters (effectively) I would agree about making it with defaults but thats me i cant comment for other people.
filter defaults are best imo as your not just creating your OWN peice of art but you also learn how to use photoshop much more effectivly.....but thats just my opinion...
